Summary Mangafox writes : Lucky Star's story portrays the lives of several school girls attending a Japanese high school with a very loose humor tone. The setting is based on the town Kasukabe in Saitama Prefecture. The main heroine is Konata Izumi, an athletic and intelligent girl who, despite these attributes, is not in a sports club, and has low grades. Her laziness at school is due to her love for anime and video games and lack of interest in anything else. The serialization began with the four main characters in their first year of high school: Konata Izumi, Kagami Hiiragi, Tsukasa Hiiragi, and Miyuki Takara. As the story progresses, they move onto their second and third year. |
Kira's lucky star review:I just started reading and watching this series and I was immediately hooked. The author drew the characters so well and they look so cute. I really recommend this series to anyone. (Vash adds about the music of the anime not manga obviously .) The music is a hodgepodge. Your OP, "Mottette! Sailor Fuku" is a song that has sparked an Internet phenomenon of all shapes and sizes. It has been parodized many times, in the way of "Hare Hare Yukai", and the "Dadadadada" that Konata does justifies the uniqueness of this opening song. The ending of this song is a mix of hits from famous anime/manga series, including "Cha La Head Cha La" from Dragon Ball Z, sung by the main characters in rotation. The situational music is perhaps the down side because it isn't even necessary for most scenarios. I personally believe that it doesn't need it. The background music from other series in Lucky Star, such as "Hare Hare Yukai" when Konata plays on a taiko simulator, or Aya Hirano's "God knows..." during a concert that the girls watch, is acceptable, but the original situational music could be best dealt without. |

| Tsukasa Hiiragi: She is just like me in the since that we both are forgetful. (She forgot to change to her summer uniform) I would also probally end up forgetting that stuff like that too. She also sometimes forgets to bring her textbooks to school, so she has to barrow them from her twin sister, Kagami. That is like me as well. (He He He ^^)  |
