Syn's negima review:

It starts off like another bishojo manga but as the series progresses it becomes action, comedy, horror, fantasy, and romance. (different from Love Hina) As the story changes it becomes bigger and a bit more confusing with twists that lead the story in a different direction but it also manages to keep you hooked waiting for the next book.

I Would like to add that If your looking for art out of this genres usual repertoire look elsewhere . it uses the same tired style as the majority of Echhi's. Though I would like to say maybe a bit more clean cut. However it doesn't win any originality contest.

Syn's Favorite character's of the series:
Chisame Hasegawa: She is very unsocial with the rest of the class and views all of them as freaks and weirdos she isolates herself from the rest of them but when she is alone in her room she transforms to the net idol Chiu. (her alter ego) But no matter how hard she tries to avoid Negi and the rest of the class she eventually learns about magic and becomes Negi's seventh partner Kaede Nagase: She is very tall, calm, gentle, always seen with her eyes almost closed and refers to herself as "Sessha" Kaede is a ninja able to use many abilities like Kage-Bunshin she is a chunin from the Koga ninja clan and Negi's ninth partner. And She is BakaBlue of the Baka Rangers.
